Busy week...Busy month

As June is coming to a close, this week is looking pretty busy. Come to mention it, we are going to be busy right until the end of wedding season-the end of September! But with the close of yet another month, we are finally releasing our once quarterly newsletter. On June 30th, Chair Decor will finally get back into good habits and release the first of monthly newsletters.

Here are a few things you will find in our monthly newsletters:
- What's new: new linens, new colors, new trends
- Where we have been: what parties we have attended, what events Chair Decor are involved in
- Color photos of stock and events
- Links to interesting sites and preferred partners
- Tips and special offers

This week we are heading to the Stanley Park Pavilion with a nautical color palette and then on to the Continental Seafood Restaurant with silver Hugs in tow, for a big Chinese wedding! Chair Decor is also hosting the ISES Spectacular wrap party, here, in the show room! For a four day week, we sure have our hands full.

Can't wait to check out the International Jazz Festival this Canada Day, looking forward to an event free day! Don't forget to check your inbox this Wednesday!

Out and About

On June the 4th, Chair Decor attended the amazing Spectacular, Secrets of the Orient!

The event was put on by ISES Vancouver, as their annual signature event. We rocked out to Asian Micheal Jackson and Elvis impersonators, treated to the sounds of Asian drums, dragon dancing and traditional string instruments. The final musical act was Vancouver's own Colin Arthur Band- who has played with the talents of Randy Bachman of the Guess Who- who got the dance floor rocking!

The music and entertainment weren't the only highlight of the evening. The venue, District 319, one of the hottest new spaces on Main Street, was transformed into a zen, cool Asian lounge, complete with bamboo, Chinese warriors, lanterns and cozy sectionals. Christopher from Christopher J Designs, was the decor guru behind the look. He didn't leave one space without a personal touch! Amazing! The space was perfect and very fitting for a Friday night party. The food was great, lots of sushi, Chinese dumplings and Koren BBQ delights!

It was great to attend a party put on by some of Vancouver's most talented designers and planners, instead of having to work the set up, or be behind the scences! Great night out of the office! Did I mention there was an oxygen bar? How cool!

Summer in the Showroom

Since the weather outside is not quite summery, we have brought summer indoors. Trends this summer have included fresh and vibrant tones and a little bit of whimsy.

Our sample table is decked out in one of our newest linens, the Celery Pintuck. Keeping with the fresh theme, we have added White Bella chair covers, adorned with Celery Taffeta sashes. White Satin napkins and Silver Charger Plates add a hint of sparkle. To finish the table off-a little glam- with the Black and White Flocked runner, crystals and a vase full of white ostrich feathers!

If Vancouver won't bring the sun, Chair Decor will, with a full selection of bright, sunny linens and chair coverings!
