On June the 4th, Chair Decor attended the amazing Spectacular, Secrets of the Orient!
The event was put on by ISES Vancouver, as their annual signature event. We rocked out to Asian Micheal Jackson and Elvis impersonators, treated to the sounds of Asian drums, dragon dancing and traditional string instruments. The final musical act was Vancouver's own Colin Arthur Band- who has played with the talents of Randy Bachman of the Guess Who- who got the dance floor rocking!
The music and entertainment weren't the only highlight of the evening. The venue, District 319, one of the hottest new spaces on Main Street, was transformed into a zen, cool Asian lounge, complete with bamboo, Chinese warriors, lanterns and cozy sectionals. Christopher from Christopher J Designs, was the decor guru behind the look. He didn't leave one space without a personal touch! Amazing! The space was perfect and very fitting for a Friday night party. The food was great, lots of sushi, Chinese dumplings and Koren BBQ delights!
It was great to attend a party put on by some of Vancouver's most talented designers and planners, instead of having to work the set up, or be behind the scences! Great night out of the office! Did I mention there was an oxygen bar? How cool!
